These stories about the ties between the CIA and Hollywood seem to pop up ever so often and the latest on the subject comes from the L.A. Times asking, Is Hollywood Inspired by the CIA or the Other Way Around?

Let's be super clear here, yeah I regularly wear a hat which reads 'Read Banned Books', but that does not mean I think public schools and libraries should be loaning out pornography and sexually explicit materials to children. That said, it's also not my job to save the children. Your children are your problem and if you choose to subject your children to the public system and then distance yourself from their learning, you get what the public system allows. Still, I agree Banning Books is Wrong and Unhealthy.

It's funny when someone or some group with an agenda pretneds to care but all they reall care about is Using Government to Limit Speech. The article at the link suggests you need to be informed about a growing world-wide NAZI movement, and goes about making the case, but the final conclusion and statement is about censorship. I suggest to you again that censorship of hate is stupid because then the hate goes underground. If they are allowed to speak loudly and clearly, everyone can hear them and then know who to avoid.

Recent real time brain scans reveal that the brains of authoritarians show activity that suggests just following orders is NOT the reason they choose immoral actions. It suggests they CHOOSE to follow, or not, their moral compass when they follow orders to harm others.

Speaking of the Milgram experiment, well not directly anyway... but they are certainly related Are you sure you know what you think you know about Milgram?
